The Progressive House style emerged in the early 90s and it's a subgenre of house music. It initially introduced in the UK as a natural progression of American and European house music of the second half of the 80s.
The progressive sound can be distinguished from the later dream trance and vocal trance. It tends to lack crescendos, anthemic choruses and drum rolling.
